Delete Your Account

Delete your account in the app

The quickest way is inside the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

1. Open MealStack and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap the gear on your profile card, then "Delete Account".
3. Confirm in the dialog. Your account and data are deleted right away and you are signed out.

Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have access to the app, send an email from the address you signed up with to contact@mealstack.app with the subject "Delete my account". We verify the request by replying to that address and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your account and login, your profile name and email address, and your circle memberships. Circles where you are the only member are deleted with all their recipes, meal plans and photos. Recipes and meal plans you added to a circle you share stay in that circle for its other members. Circles you own are handed over to another member.

What is kept

Nothing is kept on purpose. We currently keep no database backups, so your data is gone once it is deleted; if we start keeping backups, it disappears from them within at most 30 days. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Deleting only some data

You can delete individual recipes, meal plans and photos in the app at any time without deleting your account.
